• Be sure to remember your adapter specs. not every POE adapter are compatible mine is 802.3af.

• I have similar device that mounted in my roof for 2 years. it can stand against storm and hotter summer heat.

• It has two very thick and durable nylon straps included for pole mounting.

• 2.4GHz low frequency but wider coverage and up to 40mbps speed depending on your location.
• 5GHZ High frequency but less coverage and up to 100mps+ i never tested my speed beyond 300Mbps because i dont have that kind of speed.

• I don't understand much of this Signal rate means. but when im at 2.4GHz i think i'm at 802.11g or 802.11a connection. for 5Ghz it will always be 802.11n.Wireless Functions          

Multiple SSIDs（Up to 16 SSIDs, 8 for each band）

• 8 SSID for 2.4Ghz and 8  for 5Ghz. I never use multiple SSID unless i have guest at my house.

Enable/Disable Wireless Radio

• This features if you want to disable 2.4Ghz and use 5Ghz only. but i config my connection enabled both in same SSID. whatever 5Ghz failed  2.4Ghz will be its backup.

Automatic Channel Assignment

• Its common for a router to choose what channel has less noise in the vicinity or you can set it manually.

Transmit Power Control （Adjust Transmit Power on dBm）

• in this settings that you can reduce your signal coverage smaller or wider radius. 

QoS(WMM)

• Quality of Service you can set speed manage for 100 concurrent users for one antenna. 

MU-MIMO

• This features purpose is for the multiple users can  access wireless network at the same time. 

Airtime Fairness

• I don't know what it means but i think it's for data traffic for every devices.

Beamforming

• according to TP-Link Beamforming  is a signal processing technique. In simple words, it can locate the Wi-Fi devices and then strengthen the signal in the specific direction from AP to client.

• With Omni antenna, AP broadcasts Wi-Fi signal in all directions, which means no matter where your Wi-Fi devices are located, they all receive the signal with similar strength in same distance.

Band Steering

• Like my Settings i configure my AP both band at same SSID for 2.4GHz ang 5GHz. if 5GHz get weak my 2.4GHz will be its backup. 

Load Balance

• For multiple user to get even data connection. 

Rate Limit

• Limiting the speed for every users.

Reboot Schedule

• I always schedule my AP to reboot at 5AM. 

Wireless Schedule

• You can turn off your Radio antenna  for specific time this features use by parents.

Wireless Statistics based on SSID/AP/Client

• You can monitor every device speed that are connected at your AP. 

Wireless Security              Captive Portal Authentication

• It's easy to config. 
• but is main purpose of its have username and password for open SSID. this is sometimes used for business purpose.

Access Control

• 
  

Wireless Mac Address Filtering

• This Features you can block MAC address or Allowed Mac to connect at your AP.

Wireless Isolation Between Clients

• For Security purpose every client in your AP cannot communicate each other.

SSID to VLAN Mapping

•  I never tried this one.

Rogue AP Detection

• At Rogue AP you can detect all the area in with your area within the range of 200 meters at 360 Radius.

Transmission Power       23dBm, max. (2.4GHz) 22dBm, max. (5GHz)

• One of most import part of your antenna is what is the maximum transmission. lower the transmission power and less covered area. 

All in All my experience about this TP-Link EAP255 is very great and it never fails me. have a wide range and high speed transmission within 50 meter in open area. and 20 meter inside my home.

TP-Link EAP 110 Outdoor V1

Having a Wi-Fi Connection outdoor is the best i can have within 50 meters from the Access Point. this is my first Access Point  TP-Link EAP110 300Mbps. It has ceramic plastic like casing for all weather conditions and metal bracket for pole mounting and  2 5dBi detachable  antennas. It has load balancing features for multiple users and a captive portal for hotspot features.

But the advertisement is not always true on my first test i notice the signal is weak within 2 meters on direct range the more i go further the connection become more and more weaker within 9-10 meters. i tried to mount in to a pole 13 feet above it a have decent signal under it. but within 20-30 meters in open area my signal become almost dead signal and barely connected.

All and All I cannot recommend this AP even for a budget AP, It has the same price of the newer versions in the market...

Epson L5190 Printer

Epson L5190 is the replacement model of Epson L565 Printer and so i go for it and Buying New Epson L5190 printer and replacing my old Epson L355 Printer is huge mistake, for my part i did some research and I'm convince to buy this printer rather than Epson L565 Series.

The One thing i don't like in this printer. is the paper settings of the printer, it affects all the the copying process. like if i want to copy a Legal size paper but the paper size is set to Letter size paper. the copy will be all Letter size you have to set it everytime when you want to copy different sizes and it makes me mad, because i use it in my business when you have to copy different sizes.... From Legal or Letter and A4 Sizes. it a waste of paper if i got it wrong....

And this is all my opinions base from the overviews from their website.

1. The Space Saving Design is true but you need high space above of your printer. because of the paper feeder and the scanner is too bulky to lift.  when do you have secondary printer.

2. The ink refill is super no more mess!!!

1. I did print so test page but i think my old Epson L355 saves more ink while printing even i print the same documents.

And i think..
1. This is where my problem starts when i want print a legal paper by network connection and printer is setup for Letter size paper. the printer sends a error and says paper size mismatch from paper settings. so i have to go all the way to the printer to press OK button to be able to start the printing in network. i did find some tweaks to prevent this from happening, i just turn off all the paper setting in the printer from paper change notification to paper errors. now i can print normally like my old printer.

2. I'm not using other connection features of the printer so i don't know the benefits of Cloud printing and Epson Email print.

1. Yes! its true Epson L5190 has the speed i tested it from photocopy and printing. i print two identical picture from my L355 and L5190, I started printing "High Quality" in L355 and fallowed by L5190. The Epson L5190 is already finish and the L355 is at middle of the printing.

Automatic Document Feeder
The L5190 is equipped with a 30-sheets ADF unit for convenient scanning and copying of multipage documents.

And i thik...
1. A lots of paper jams from scanning or copying from ADF Feeder. basically you have to wait and watch until it finish.

100-Page Fax Storage Memory
The L5190 Broadcast Fax and PC-fax functions allow you to send a fax digitally with your computer, complete with a 100-page storage memory that ensures your incoming faxes will be received if the printer is out of paper or ink.

And i think,
1. I'm not using it.

1. Your Epson printer will be good as new. after 4 years of more even you printed over 50,000 pages.


if your using it at home i highly recommend it. but for business, make some more research first for better printer.

Tenda W309r+ Firmware Upgrade Failed!!!

I recently decided to upgraded the firmware of my 2 years old Tenda W309R+ router,  I search in the internet for my model firmware and i did not find any compatible firmware form device. so i decide to search the most similar brand model firmware, and I found one. Tenda W309R router so i decide to update it by its latest firmware, So far I able to upgrade it and use the router for another 1 week and so.

But after 1 week I detected that my Wifi router signal become unstable and i cant connect to it. even I can  see the SSID in my devices, Other than that a new problem i recently discovered. My Wifi Signal become more unstable and looks like i have signal jam if my neighbor turn on their wifi router. i began to investigate for the first time what would be the problem, first is looking in to the router interface, and look If I ever been hack by someone else in my neighborhood and looks all okay for me, Second I check if someone or something try to jam me, because i leave my wifi device 24/7, even if  I'm Standing in front of my wi-fi my signal is dropping for 2 seconds and goes up again and  again, but my speculation is wrong.

So i decide if i can downgrade my firmware and take up challenge, whether it will be damage or not, because i never try to downgrade a router ever before and leave it for a day. and after a day my old router become more stable than before  but now i have bad firmware and i hope it work for the time being before i purchase a new router.

Tenda   W309R+ 300mbps wireless router, is a good wifi device before i recently destroyed its firmware. and I'm really satisfied by its performance for these past 2 years, the wifi signal (2.4ghz) can pass trough a thick walls and even covered my entire house by it massive two very long antennas and it has good bandwidth control and traffic statistic, for monitoring the traffic usage for every devices connected to it.
