I recently decided to upgraded the firmware of my 2 years old Tenda W309R+ router, I search in the internet for my model firmware and i did not find any compatible firmware form device. so i decide to search the most similar brand model firmware, and I found one. Tenda W309R router so i decide to update it by its latest firmware, So far I able to upgrade it and use the router for another 1 week and so.
But after 1 week I detected that my Wifi router signal become unstable and i cant connect to it. even I can see the SSID in my devices, Other than that a new problem i recently discovered. My Wifi Signal become more unstable and looks like i have signal jam if my neighbor turn on their wifi router. i began to investigate for the first time what would be the problem, first is looking in to the router interface, and look If I ever been hack by someone else in my neighborhood and looks all okay for me, Second I check if someone or something try to jam me, because i leave my wifi device 24/7, even if I'm Standing in front of my wi-fi my signal is dropping for 2 seconds and goes up again and again, but my speculation is wrong.
So i decide if i can downgrade my firmware and take up challenge, whether it will be damage or not, because i never try to downgrade a router ever before and leave it for a day. and after a day my old router become more stable than before but now i have bad firmware and i hope it work for the time being before i purchase a new router.
Tenda W309R+ 300mbps wireless router, is a good wifi device before i recently destroyed its firmware. and I'm really satisfied by its performance for these past 2 years, the wifi signal (2.4ghz) can pass trough a thick walls and even covered my entire house by it massive two very long antennas and it has good bandwidth control and traffic statistic, for monitoring the traffic usage for every devices connected to it.
